Ansul R-102

The Ansul R-102 system has protected life and buildings around the world for over 30 years. Combining Simple mechanical operation and an advanced wet chemical fire Suppressant, the Ansul R-102 provides robust, reliable, effective 24 hour protection for any commercial kitchen with risk appliances.

The Ansulex wet chemical agent is housed in stainless steel tanks within stainless steel enclosures. Stainless steel discharge pipe is connected to the tanks and installed into the extract canopies, ductwork and above risk appliances.

In the event of a fire, the heat from the flames activate the fusible link detection system and the Ansul R-102 system operates. Kitchen operatives can also manually activate the system as they leave the kitchen safely.

Ansul Piranha

Using the same proven components, the Ansul Piranha system builds on the success of the Ansul R-102 system and takes it to the next generation.

The Ansul Piranha system uses a hybrid of PRX wet chemical agent and water to provide rapid cooling post discharge. Automatic and manual operation is provided in the same way as the Ansul R-102. Upon activation the flames are initially knocked down by the wet chemical agent and the saponified agent starves the fire of oxygen. The Ansul Piranha system then activates stage two of the suppression process and discharges water through the pipe network. The water is usually provided through a connection to the building sprinkler and provides rapid cooling in the event of fire. The water also reacts with the liquid agent to provide an increased saponified layer.

Like the Ansul R-102 the Ansul Piranha system can be configured to cover the whole length of the cookline to allow appliances to be relocated and remain protected.
