The growth of its customers has contributed to this company’s performance. Global
Fire Systems does fire risk assessments and then designs, installs and
maintains systems for customers that include Eton College and the Marriott
hotels group. It was a beneficiary when Marriott acquired 38 Swallow
hotels in 2000. By 2003, it was servicing all British Marriott
sites and in 2004 Travelodge became a customer. Sales at the company,
founded in 1999 by Ian Grantham and Stuart Beeley, rose by 65% a year. It
has recently been awarded the contract to design and install cooker fire
suppression systems in the kitchens at the new Wembley stadium.
